The Baha’i Academy is an institution engaged in research and action in the field of value education for institutions of higher learning.
Founded on 27 June 1982, it is situated at Shivaji Nagar, Panchgani, a peaceful hill resort about 4300 feet above mean sea level, 100 Kms south of Pune, State of Maharashtra, India. Its 'Permanent Seat' overlooks a scenic valley and mountain range with farm land terraces, and is surrounded by trees and gardens.
Panchgani can be reached by road both from Pune and Mumbai. Regular bus and taxi services are available at nominal cost. It is about 2½ hours drive from Pune and 5½ hours drive from Mumbai. Panchgani is famous for its boarding schools and hostels, its peaceful ambiance, enchanting valleys, strawberry gardens, uncommon birds and heavy monsoon rains.
